| RESPONSIBILITIES The Department of Chemistry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is accepting applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biochemistry. This is a temporary, full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track position that will commence August 18, 2008. This is primarily a teaching position, which will be available during the 2008-2009 academic year. The biochemistry-related degree programs within the Department of Chemistry include Biochemistry B.S., Biochemistry M.S., and Chemistry Ph.D. (includes a biochemistry track). Successful applicants will be expected to teach upper-division undergraduate biochemistry courses. Information about the Chemistry programs can be found at http://sciences.unlv.edu/Chemistry/. QUALIFICATIONS A Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field from an accredited college or university is required. SALARY RANGE Salary competitive; contingent upon labor market.
