Job Description & Requirement
Has the primary responsibility for preparing, conducting, breaking down and maintaining the laboratory portion of one set of chemistry courses (Organic Chemistry I and II). Some associated instrument maintenance is required. Significant lab development during the summer months is expected and may include courses beyond the courses beyond Organic Chemistry I and II. Summer work can also include projects involving other lab supervisors and additional instrumentation. Ensures training in the form of annual safety seminar for all student teaching and research assistants in the Department which will be offered three times each year (beginning of each semester and beginning of the summer.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required with a Master’s degree preferred. Previous lab instruction experience or laboratory training preferred. This is a 12- month position.
