Job Description & Requirement
Postdoctoral Fellow in Multivariate Modeling at FPInnovations - Paprican Division, Vancouver Laboratory

FPInnovations is the world's largest private not-for-profit forest research institute, with the goal of strengthening the Canadian forest sector's global competitiveness through research, knowledge transfer and implementation. The Pulp and Paper Research division provides valuable technology transfer and cost-competitive research addressing both the short-term and strategic needs of its Members.

We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to carry out a project to develop structure-property-process relationships of the interactions/interdependence among fibre properties, process parameters, sheet structures, and paper properties; in particular, to build these relationships through multivariate modeling. Moreover, the potential candidate will also participate in developing NIR sensor technology for the on-line monitoring of wood chip quality. A recent Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physical sciences or related fields is required. Knowledge of multivariate modeling is preferred.
